Box of Dread is a subscription box that contains collectibles related to horror as well as promotional products from horror movies, TV shows, and games. These items range from shirts to stickers to action figures and more. Their goal is “to deliver the horror convention experience to you in a box on a monthly basis.”
1 Month – $14.00 + $6.00 S & H/month
3 Month – $13.00 + $6.00 per month with a 3 month subscription
We have three different boxes to show you. Here is the first box…
Awww…isisn’t the walker Dorbz vinyl figure from Walking Dead cute? Are they supposed to be this cute?
It’s an inflatable Whack-a-Zombie! If you need to take your frustrations out, what better thing to hit than a zombie, right?
Also from The Walking Dead, they included this vinyl figure blind box.
These bonus items with stickers and little plastic characters completed this box which was obviously targeting fans of The Walking Dead.
The next box came in April and here’s what was inside…
This Funko Pop figure of Ellen Ripley from Aliens is pretty cool. Are you a Funko Pop collector? We are starting to get quite the collection and this is a great addition.
This is a variant cover, signed by James Kuhoric, for the zero issue of Adam Green’s Hatchet.
Also, from Hatchet, this mini-poster was included.
And who can go without a sticker of this? It’s Lucio Fulci’s Zombie from Fulci Comics.
The third box from May included the following items:
Funko’s Horror Classics Series 3 Mystery Blindboxed Minis figures – I’m not exactly sure who this is supposed to be. I’m not completely educated in monsters from all horror films. But it’s scary in a cute sort of way.
For some reason, I don’t remember the Garbage Pail Kids being this scary. But maybe I just didn’t pay attention. This Garbage Pail Kids vinyl figure comes in a blind box and you can see what we got. It’s a diapered werewolf! Again, cute in a scary way.
This comic is the first issue of SGP’s Evil Dead 2: Beyond Dead by Dawn.
The final item in this box is a preview of SGP’s upcoming comic adaptation of “The Howling”.
This box is a fairly inexpensive choice for a monthly horror/sci-fi box. If you’re into this kind of thing, head over and subscribe. There are 4 days left to get in on the next one!
