Attention PlayStation fans! It’s almost time to get your hands on the epic free-to-play platform fighter from Blue Mammoth Games. Since it launched back on Steam Early Access back in 2015, Brawlhalla has had more than 7 million players charge into the fight, earning it the title of the most played fighting game on Steam for 2016 and 2017.
Join the greatest fighters throughout history, as they battle for supremacy in the Grand Tournament of Valhalla. Featuring 34 Legends, each possessing their own unique abilities and a distinct combination of two weapons, Brawlhalla awards every player differently, catering to individual playstyles.
Its game modes consist of a variety of online and offline variations, including ranked matches, free-for-all competitions (that support up to eight players), 1v1 and 2v2 matches, Bomsketball, Brawlball, Snowbrawl and other game modes. PlayStation 4 and PC cross play will also become available at a later date.
“The Brawlhalla community has grown bigger than ever on PC and now we’re ready to welcome PlayStation 4 players into the fold,” said Matt Woomer, Creative Director, Blue Mammoth Games. “It’s the perfect time to become a Brawlhalla player. Our newest Legend allows for an entirely new playstyle, the Brawlhalla World Championship Expo is soon, and we will soon enable cross-play, bringing all our fans together in grand competition.”
Brawlhalla will officially launch on PlayStation 4 and PC (finally out of Early Access) October 17, 2017. One day after launch a new legend, the Corsair, will enter the area, bringing her cannon with her. The massive new weapon type will be great for bludgeoning or blasting them blasting your foes.
The fighting game will continue to be free to play free-to-play on both platforms, but players have the ability to purchase the All-Legends Pack on Steam or the Founder’s Pack on PlayStation 4 for $19.99 USD. The pack grants them instant access to the entire roster of characters, including all future additions.
In other Brawlhalla news, the second annual Brawlhalla World championships will take place next month in Atlanta, GA at the Cobb Galleria, from November 3-5 (Friday-Sunday). Anyone can compete, with the competition broken down into 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments, but will also feature casual setups throughout, as well as other side tournaments running on Saturday.
