Injustice 2 will soon be adding a trio of new fighters to their roster, only one of which is from the DC Universe. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed the latest additions that will be part of the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2. Comic book and movie superhero character Hellboy are perhaps the most surprising.
The red skinned half demon is seen feeding his signature nicotine habit in the announcement trailer. Joining Hellboy is NeatherRealm’s God of Thunder from the Mortal Kombat series Raiden. We see Raiden do his drop into the ground move he patented in MK in the trailer and here is hoping he will have his torpedo move in Injustice 2.
Rounding out the announcements is Black Manta, best known perhaps as the foil to superhero Aquaman. Black Manta appears to have a missile launching capability which is certainly a technological upgrade since his days appearing on the Saturday morning cartoon Challenge of the Superfriends.
The Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 is available to anyone who purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition or Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack. The Fighter Pack can also be sold bought separately by gamers who own the basic version of the game. They will also have access to the three new fighters before they are eventually released for sale as a la carte option. The fighters in Fighter Pack 2 join the Fighter Pack 1 options that were previously released to expand upon the day 1 roster for Injustice 2.
The previous fighter pack release once again featured a Mortal Kombat fighter, Sub-Zero. He was also joined by Red Hood and Starfire. The Ultimate Pack and Ultimate Edition had promised nine DLC fighters implies there will be a Fighter Pack 3 with another trio of fighters announced in the near future. If there is another Mortal Kombat fighter than my 2 cents hopes we see Baraka or Sonya.
