I am excited to introduce you to one of the things that inspired me to start The Nerd Stash. During the conception of The Nerd Stash, there were goals set for the website and the organization overall. A goal was set to provide the latest information regarding all things nerd and to have a fun and entertaining website. There was also a more serious aspect to The Nerd Stash vision. As a father of two and the founder of The Nerd Stash, I have established a means to participate in something that helps promote and support two passions in my life – children and games. Thus, The Nerd Stash hopes to be a lifelong supporter of a charity known as Extra Life. Extra Life is a charity that was developed to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals all over the country. One little girl, Victoria Enman, inspired a gaming community to start this charity and since its inception they have raised millions of dollars for Children’s hospitals all over the United States.
The Nerd Stash has joined this effort and we are looking to raise money through donations, auctions, raffles, and the annual Extra Life event held in November where we will play games for 24 hours straight! The Nerd Stash has chosen the Kentucky Children’s Hospital to receive 100% of the money we raise through Extra Life. If you are interested in joining this effort with us, there is more than one way to participate. You can donate money, join our team and fundraise, participate in the annual 24 hour gaming event by watching our Twitch channel on November 7th 2015. Look for upcoming announcements regarding this event in the months to come. You can also donate a nerdy item of value to auction for the charity. A raffle auction will take place this fall so be sure to stay tuned to our site for updated news! We are excited to be a part of this rewarding experience. Please check out our charity page where you can find out more about Extra Life, watch a very inspiring video about Victoria and make a donation. If you would like to donate an item for auction, please let us know at email@example.com.
all in the name of the Children’s Miracle Network! We’ll be streaming and live tweeting the event!
Those who donate will be entered to win various items!
