The latest trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse has finally hit before the films release.
The third film in the new X-Men series focused on the clandestine mutants in the 80s, the mutants of the world have to come together to fight the ultimate evil: Apocalypse.
Apocalypse is said to be the very first mutant and has wreaked havoc throughout history, always with four companions by his side. He recruits Magneto, Angel, Psylocke and Storm to aid him in his goals and the rest of the world’s mutants must band together as the X-Men to stop this unstoppable force.
James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender return as Professor X and Magneto respectfully and are joined by some new additions to the cast. Olivia Munn will take on the role of Psylocke, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner will breath new life into jean Grey, and Oscar Isaac will play the titular Apocalypse.
This will likely be the last X-Men film in this saga, which included X-Men First Class and X-Men Days of Future Past.
While Jean Grey did appear in the original trilogy, Sophie Turner’s interpretation is meant to show a much younger, vulnerable version of the character.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to release on May 27.
