Oscar Nominee Cate Blanchett‘s acting break announcement has left many of her fans stunned. The actress claimed she was exhausted after her very demanding role in the film “Tar.”
Blanchett, 53, is one of Australia’s most successful actresses, and she just might be on her way to claiming her third Oscar. Earlier in the year, the actress was nominated for an Academy Award for her starring role in the film “Tar.”
However, Blanchett still seems to be feeling the effects of the demanding project, where she played obsessive Lydia Tar. In January, she told the Australian show “The Sunday Project” the role left her exhausted and feeling homesick.
The 53-year-old actress shares three sons and a daughter with her husband screenwriter Andrew Upton, 56. The actress lamented how the role had left her longing for her family and how she had been feeling homesick over the past four years.
Blanchett also echoed how she would love to return to her homeland to spend some time by the water.
