Love Island‘s Erin Barnett is getting what she had always wanted— a hysterectomy. The endometriosis patient believes having her health restored is a “win.”
Time and time again, Erin Barnett’s problem with her reproductive organs has been chronicled online. The 27-year-old often tells fans about the pain she goes through due to endometriosis.
In 2022, she was open about her surgeries. The onscreen star claimed since age 14, she had had to undergo numerous surgeries.
As an adult, she went head to head with doctors who refused her hysterectomy. In her defense, the surgery would end her pain.
Last month, she shared a video of her bulging stomach, claiming she had another hemorrhagic cyst rupture. While confirming that there is no cure for her, she wrote:
“I absolutely hate my reproductive organs. With only 1 ovary left, in just want it out. That’ll never happen, but I can dream.”
A month after this affirmation, Love Island’s Erin Barnett announced that her dream has finally come true. According to her recent post, Erin Barnett’s hysterectomy was no longer a wish. The doctors approved her for the surgery.

Love Island’s Erin Barnett’s Hysterectomy News
Via Instagram, the influencer gave up the happy news— what she always wanted. Love Island’s Erin Barnett shared:
“IT’S HAPPENING! I’ve just been approved for a hysterectomy. I’M CRYING HAPPY TEARS! I can’t believe it’s finally happening.”
She continued:
“I’ve wanted this for so long. WHAT A WIN FOR ME!”
Erin Barnett’s hysterectomy means she would have her uterus removed. As explained earlier, undergoing surgeries is not a new process. Especially after having gone through seventeen.
Love Island’s Erin Barnett began the year with a to-do list. The influencer acknowledged that she felt overweight and planned to shed a few pounds.
Her announcement came with a slew of bikini-themed shots, where she showed off her belly fat. The 27-year-old explained that her choice to trim down would help her mental health and confidence.
The only way she saw this happening was if she maintained a strict diet, good sleep patterns, and exercises. Somehow, some fans did not buy it. They attacked her for promoting unhealthy routines. Reality TV star Clare Verrall championed the criticism.
She wrote:
“Being thin isn’t happiness or your value in the world (even though you are obviously a ‘thin’ woman.) Everyone saying she is ‘still’ beautiful, she is just beautiful. Full stop.”
Amid the backlash, Love Island Erin Barrett did come back strong. She maintained that it was her body, so it should be her choice. Barrett complained about how internet trolls make it challenging for people to put out their views. But she remained undefeated. In her words
“I will forever stand by: if I’m not hurting anyone financially, emotionally, physically or mentally then I m not doing anything wrong.”
