Exploit the bonuses in Scarlet and Violet
Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are incredibly rare. Let’s just say the odds are not in your favor.
So, let’s talk to you about how to improve and increase these appearance ratios with specific bonuses. These are the bonuses that will improve your likelihood of getting shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
- Mass outbreaks: if you manage to defeat between 30 to 59 Pokémon in a mass outbreak, you will get +1 in the chance of a shiny coming out. If you defeat 60 or more Pokémon, you will receive +2 chance points.
- Shiny Charm: once you get this item after completing the Pokédex, you automatically receive +3 points in the probability of finding a wild shiny.
- Shiny Sandwich: if you prepare and eat a snack with the “Sparkling Powder,” you will receive a +3 bonus in the probability of finding shiny Pokémon.
Remember that all these bonuses are cumulative, and you can get the highest possible probability of a shiny Pokémon appearance of 1 in 512 Pokémon. This means that if you reach this bonus, it is very likely to run into shiny Pokémon.
