TLC’s popular spin-off series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 premiered earlier this year. It detailed the journey of six lovestruck Americans traveling to foreign lands to start a new life with their partners. This particular season was even more special than others as it produced several “firsts” in the history of the 90-Day Fiancé franchise.
The first-ever transgender storyline was introduced to the franchise through the relationship of transgender Gabe Paboga and Isabel Posada. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 also featured the couple with the widest age gap in the franchise’s history — Debbie Noguera, 67, and Oussama, 24. Additionally, the network consolidated its efforts in promoting more LGBTQ+ content by including same-sex couple Kris Foster and Jeymi Noguera.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 4 Premise
Going into the season 4 premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, fans had high expectations for the show. And the cast members didn’t disappoint as they delivered fireworks right from the first episode. The show has produced several unforgettable moments since it premiered.
Fans have watched Gabe and Isabel outshine their cast mates with their beautiful, educative romance. They have also witnessed the familiar toxic relationship dynamics between Kris, Jeymi, Mahmoud, and Nicole. The obstacles of not obtaining parents’ blessings stopped Jen and Rishi’s romance. Yohan and Danielle seem stuck in their relationship, while Ousamma and Debbie have provided some of the season’s funniest moments. By the end of the season, fans had witnessed two weddings, two painful splits, and so much more drama.
Last weekend, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way sat through part 1 of the Tell-All. Like always, the segment answered many of the questions before the finale. It also featured drama, laughter, and tears as fans debated their opinions. However, ahead of the second part airing tonight, here are four takeaways from the first part of the Tell-All.
Gabe Asked All The Right Questions
Over the last few years, fans have voiced dissatisfaction with Shaun Robinson’s approach to hosting the 90-Day Fiancé Tell-Alls. Fans feel she isn’t aggressive enough while interrogating the cast members, leaving many questions unanswered.
However, since TLC opted to continue with Shaun, most viewers could only hope that she would at least change her style this time. This was not the case, as Shaun served up the same energy, and it looked like fans wouldn’t be getting those answers they badly craved.
Almost as if Gabe heard their cries, he burst into life at the midpoint of the Tell-All and began asking some fundamental questions. Gabe first opened the floor when he asked Mahmoud if he would force his daughters to wear the hijab. When Mahmoud said Islam doesn’t force a mode of dressing on anyone, Gabe then pointed to Mahmoud forcing Nicole to dress a certain way. Mahmoud didn’t have a suitable answer and eventually walked out of the Tell-All angrily.
While commenting on a post-episode Reddit thread, 90 Day Fiancé fans expressed how impressed they were with how Gabe questioned Mahmoud and that he didn’t back down. The viewers noted that Shaun would have never asked those questions and praised Gabe for taking the mantle.
Nicole and Mahmoud’s Relationship Still Needs A Lot of Work
Nicole and Mahmoud’s relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 was arguably the most toxic on the show. The couple was constantly at each other’s throats, and Nicole found adjusting to the culture shock of living in Egypt very difficult. Mahmoud’s demands on her made life in the North African country even more difficult for Nicole.
Fans watched as Mahmoud tried to micromanage everything Nicole did — from dressing to her choice of friends and even where she was allowed to go. While Nicole tried her best to abide by Mahmoud’s rules, the two still constantly clashed over her dress. At some point, things got physical during one of their heated arguments.
As it became apparent that Nicole was disillusioned with life in Egypt, the two decided to move to the US. During the Tell-All, Nicole even confirmed that Mahmoud’s visa application was being processed. The duo moving to the US will undoubtedly change the dynamics of their relationship. Mahmoud’s reaction to Nicole’s newfound freedom in her choice of attire will be intriguing to observe.
Fans believe they must put in significant effort to salvage their relationship and make it viable in the future. Fans were particularly appalled by how Nicole was left in tears after Mahmoud stormed off the Tell-All following a face-off with Gabe. Ousamma’s aversion to criticism and anger would always threaten his marriage, especially with their decision to move to the US.
Kris Never Deserved Jeymi
Kris and Jeymi’s relationship was doomed to fail from the beginning. There were just too many red flags from their relationship throughout the season. Still, somehow they managed to ride through it all and eventually exchange marital vows. The duo also had plans for Kris to relocate to Columbia.
A few days after their marriage, Kris claimed she had to return to America to resolve issues with her account. Nevertheless, she assured Jeymi she would only be gone for two weeks. Surprisingly, Kris ended up staying in the US for several months.
Jeymi claimed Kris barely kept in contact with her during that period. But when she voiced her frustrations to Kris, the Alabama native lashed out angrily. Kris then claimed she was working to send her money. During the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season finale, Kris finally returned to Columbia after missing Jeymi’s birthday. However, an intense argument broke out between the two.
After some back and forth, Kris eventually broke things off with Jeymi and wanted to leave immediately. However, as Jeymi tried to get some stuff from the car, Kris pushed her out, forcing a producer to intervene quickly. Kris’ treatment of Jeymi angered many users, and they took to the post-episode discussion thread on Reddit to vent their frustrations. While commenting on the thread, most fans noted that Jeymi deserved better than Kris and were happy to see she had moved on from her.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Debbie and Ousamma Are Done

Part 1 of the Tell-All focused mostly on Debbie and Ousamma’s relationship. Debbie ended her romance with Oussama after he gave her an ultimatum to take him to the US, or he would quit the relationship. The 67-year-old felt betrayed that Oussama was only using her to get a green card. Debbie then proceeded to end things with him before swiftly returning to America.
Although they are not back together, it is not for lack of attempt on Oussama’s part. During part 1 of the Tell-All, fans learned that he made substantial efforts to get back with Debbie. Ousamma allegedly sent her hundreds of texts and called her repeatedly. In some messages, he even told her, “I love you,” but she ignored it.
In the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All, Debbie maintained her stance that she was done with the relationship. Meanwhile, most of her fellow cast members also supported the move. And in a big twist, Debbie’s son Julian also made a surprise appearance during the Tell-All, and he proceeded to call out Oussama for his behavior.
Julian also described him as a stalker due to his constant messages. He then warned Ousamma to stay away from his mother and get a job. Shortly after the confrontation, the cameras caught Julian and Debbie sharing a warm embrace. Debbie’s son then urged his mother to forget about Oussama and focus on herself. All the focus now turns to the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Tell-All Part II.
