90 Day Fiancé Jasmine Pineda opens up about her alopecia. People know Pineda best from season five of Before the 90 Days. It’s there where she opened up a bit about the condition. Alopecia, by definition, is hair loss. It can affect just your scalp or your entire body, and it can be temporary or permanent. It can be the result of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions, or a normal part of aging. Anyone can lose hair on their head, but it’s more common in men. It became a talking point earlier this year during the Will Smith slap. And now Pineda is opening up about the toll it takes on her life.
It has been a problem for her for some time. She almost didn’t do the tell-all because she was having a flair-up at the time. She got her wig in time and did it, regardless. A moment of proof that she will not let it break her. And while losing hair is very common in men and still a joking point in society, it’s undoubtedly harder for a woman.

“While Jasmine claimed that she had accepted her hair loss in the old post, it seems she truly has not. In her recent Instagram Story, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise alum shared a photo of her worsening condition and titled it, “#ALOPECIASUCKS.” In the picture, She boldly showed her small hair bun and exposed the sides of her head where the hair loss had affected her the most. Jasmine used a crying emoji on her photo to show her emotions and then shared a short message in the following Instagram Story. She wrote, “Hair loss makes me sad…not a good day for me.”
90 Day Fiancé Jasmine Pineda does have alopecia, but she doesn’t want it to her define her. She wants her strength to define her. And we celebrate that. It can’t be an easy thing for a woman to face, but she is doing so with poise and strength. And on the plus side, treatments are constantly being developed. So even though it is a permanent condition now, who’s to say how it will fair in a decade?
