Capcom has made a new announcement today through the official Exoprimal website that confirms that the seasonal content for the game is coming to an end with season 4, and will not get a season 5. This means the game has gone EOL (end of life) for Capcom. But if you enjoy the game, don’t worry, you will still be able to play through all the content up until season 4’s end.

In the official announcement, the developer explained that the release of title update 4 concludes all the planned seasonal content for the game. Capcom thanked fans for sticking around for so long and went into detail about how people can experience Exoprimal in the future, after season 4.

Season 4 of Exoprimal ends on July 11, 2024, and after that, a new season will begin every month and cycle through seasons 1-4 once again, during this time, all previous season passes will go on sale. Since there aren’t that many players online anymore, AI companions will be filling up incomplete lobbies, allowing players to experience what the game offers even if they don’t have enough people to fill a lobby.

Although all online services will remain functional as before, ranks for the Savage Gauntlet won’t continue after Trial 41. Like the cycling of seasons in the coming months, the Survival Passes in Exoprimal will do the same and rotate through seasons 1 to 4 in the coming months. All progression from one season to the next will be carried over, and players will still get weekly campaign missions.

Exoprimal originally launched in July 2023, and had a fairly positive reception. It was playable on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. But unfortunately, Capcom couldn’t turn it into another Monster Hunter like it was initially planned. Player numbers quickly began to dwindle off because of the game’s repetitive nature. While fans will be able to play it for the foreseeable future, those looking forward to an Exoprimal season 5 will be disappointed.
