Arguably the most unique enemy in Alan Wake Remastered is the Poltergeists, more simply known as ghosts. These enemies will grab nearby objects and throw them at Alan. Unlike its fellow creatures, bullets are not going to put them down. Despite how that might sound, the ghost is actually still pretty easy to deal with once you know the trick to them. So let’s skip the trial and error and let me just tell you how to bust these ghosts. This guide will show you how to kill Ghosts in Alan Wake Remastered.
How to Kill Ghosts in Alan Wake Remastered
Along with his guns, Alan Wake’s main weapon throughout the entirety of the game is his flashlight. To defeat a ghost,t all you have to do shine a light source on them for a long enough amount of time. This can be done with the previously mentioned flashlight. The ghosts main attack is to throw items and objects at you, so make sure you take in your environment and be ready to get to cover and to dodge incoming damage when you see them about to attack. Just keep getting light on them, they are unable to retreat so as long keep the pressure on, you will get rid of the ghost.

Along with the flashlight, you can also use either your throwable flares which can be dropped with the RB/R1 button or the trusted flare gun to do big and constant damage. Whatever method you decide, just know that you will not need to waste any ammo on these enemies, so save up for when you battle the likes of the Taken or any number of the bosses that Alan Wake faces off with through the story.
