Production studio Concourse Media has announced that Alec Baldwin and Olga Kurylenko are set to join the cast of Chief of Station, an upcoming spy thriller by Concourse Media and Bee Holder Productions. The film, directed by Jesse V. Johnson, will reportedly begin filming in Budapest later this year.
Chief of Station will feature Alec Baldwin as a currently unnamed former CIA Station Chief who’s since gotten out of ‘the game,’ so to speak, but after finding out that the death of his wife was not an accident as he’d previously thought is forced back into the deadly world of covert espionage whether he likes it or not. Baldwin’s character is forced to team up with former adversaries and a rogue enemy agent (Olga Kurylenko) to uncover the real truth about his wife’s death and, in the process, manages to uncover a deep-set conspiracy that “challenges everything he thought he knew,” according to Deadline.
Who Are Alec Baldwin and Olga Kurylenko?
Alec Baldwin is possibly one of the most well-known names in Hollywood today, with some of his past appearances including movies and TV shows like 30 Rock (2006), My Sister’s Keeper (2009), Rock of Ages (2012), and The Boss Baby (2017). Baldwin also boasts many appearances as himself on shows like The Tonight Show (2016), Match Game (2016), Nightcap (2017), and A Star is Born (2019), among others. In more recent terms, Alec Baldwin’s name is currently best-known in connection with the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins in a shooting on the set of Baldwin’s movie Rust.
Aside from Alec Baldwin, Olga Kurylenko has an impressive filmography of her own, having appeared in roles such as Antonia in the MCU’s Black Widow (2021), Kate in The Room (2019), Headmistress Kirova in Vampire Academy (2014), and Camille in Quantum of Solace (2008). According to Deadline, Chief of Station will mark Kurylenko’s second time working with director Jesse V. Johnson, with the pair having previously worked on White Elephant (2022).
Along with White Elephant, Chief of Station’s director Jesse V. Johnson has also served as a writer, director, and stunt coordinator for such films as Once Upon a Time in Venice (2017), The Last Ship (2014), The Butcher (2009), and The Last Sentinel (2007). Steve Lee Jones will be joining Johnson as a producer for Chief of Station for Bee Holder Productions along with Matthew Shreder, who will executive produce for Concourse Media.
