Publisher Microids is thrilled to showcase more of the upcoming narrative title, Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo. With development by Pendulo Studios, players are about to sink into a new story inspired by the Master of Suspense. The announcement comes with a new story trailer for the Vertigo-inspired game.
Can You Trust Your Own Mind?
Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo follows the complex story of Ed Miller, the survivor of a car accident who seeks help from a psychiatrist, Julia Lomas. Ed Miller is convinced he just lost his family, but unweaving the truth is more complicated than any help can provide. It happened so long ago, but since then, he has developed a serious case of vertigo. What really happened on that day?
Players will follow the narrative through three distinctive characters, all with a different story to tell. The sheriff’s department will also play a role in the story in an attempt of solving the mystery.
SOMETIMES TRUTH IS WORSE THAN MADNESS.”
Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo Story Trailer
This narrative title comes with a fresh Story Trailer that introduces us to our main characters. It’s an entirely new story, so it’s highly unlikely we’ll see Scottie at some point – or even a ghost of “Madeline.” But the trailer is packed with famous recreations from the acclaimed director’s filmography. From unique camera angles to the Vertigo spins, there’s plenty of moments from the footage to nitpick.
Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is being developed by Pendulo Studios (Hollywood Monsters, Runaway, Yesterday Origins) with publishing by Microids. It’ll be launching on December 16, 2021, for the PC. Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch owners can expect the game to port their way sometime next year of 2022.
Players who pre-order the game will receive the Digital Deluxe Edition content. This includes a digital artbook, the original soundtrack, Steam avatars of the main characters (Ed, Julia, and Nick), wallpapers, and in-game filters for the nostalgic Hitchcock fan.
