Squanch Games has announced via Twitter that their upcoming comedic biopunk first-person shooter, High on Life, has been delayed to December 13, 2022.
The reason for the delay is to polish the game even more and get rid of any bugs to deliver the best possible experience. The developers say that the team is working to deliver “the best gaming experience to hit your screens” and that they need a little extra time to “squash some bugs.”
High on Life was initially slated for an October 25 release date and now has been delayed to roughly six weeks. The delay announcement was divided into two parts; the good news and the bad news. The good news is that High On Life is still coming in 2022, and the bad news is… well, I mentioned it before.

Squanch Games also shared a video to apologize for the delay of High On Life, but it’s not what you think. It is a dating ad animation. The “token of apology” animation was uploaded to YouTube; you can watch it over here:
What is High on Life?
Revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, coming from the mind of legendary Justin Roiland, otherwise known for the popular comedic series Rick and Morty is High on Life. You step in the shoes of a freshly graduated student who is jobless and ambitionless until an alien community starts to invade the Earth.
Now it’s up to you and a roster of talking guns to save humanity, becoming the deadliest intergalactic bounty hunter in the cosmos. You must take a stand against the nefarious Garmantuous and stop him from gobbling up all of humankind. Apart from the mind-bending world and talkable guns, you’ll also immediately recognize that the protagonist shares the same voice actor as Morty, making the experience so much more comedic.
