Hunt. Provide. Protect.
Rise against the tyranny of the Elder Gods in South Wales-based developer RUNWILD Entertainment‘s first original title, Almighty: Kill Your Gods.
The upcoming multiplayer action role-playing game puts the player in the control of an Alpha, a powerful warrior with special abilities passed down to them from their ancestors. You are reborn to protect your people as you use your magical powers to defeat towering foes and to bring down the oppression of the Elder Gods.
With a gameplay video featuring commentary from Creative Director Darran Thomas, the players can fly solo in Almighty: Kill Your Gods, or they can team up with friends or other random online warriors as they journey across land to slay demons, fiends, and gods. You can jump up and enter a flight stance or run rapid like a beast on the ground as you loot beaten-down corpses, rebuild your home with enemy remains, boost economic advantages, and upgrade your combative talents as you progress through the intense battles between gods and empowered smaller beings.
Become Almighty
In a new announcement from RUNWILD Entertainment and publisher Versus Evil (Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and The Banner Saga), an enemy profile mini-trailer presented one of Almighty‘s perilous foes: The Thunderhead Guardians.
These monumental adversaries drop from the skies as a response to the anger of the Gods being caused by the player’s actions. They can strike with incredible might and can mow you down with their calamitous death beams. Their remains can also be collected for your base once you come out victorious.
This announcement comes after Almighty: Kill Your Gods was a part of Guerilla Collective‘s online games festival in June. It was unveiled on Day 1 with the title itself being one of the very first titles shared during the event. You can watch the event now on Guerilla Collective’s website for Day 1 when you watch the Digital Games Collective, with Almighty’s trailer appearing at 12:23.
Although the game’s release date hasn’t been revealed, response to Almighty: Kill Your Gods has been positive thus far. General Manager of Versus Evil, Steve Escalante expressed his thoughts on the feedback:
Reception to Almighty: Kill Your Gods has been incredible and the Steam Wishlist goal we had originally set for the first month was exceeded in several days. This year’s line up of announcements from indies has been really inspiring but we’re humbled that fans have taken so well to Almighty: Kill Your Gods as they have.
