The next generation of gaming is almost here, and now we’ll have an idea of how much to pay for it. Amazon has listed the prices for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, along with box art.
Both pages for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla received an updated listing that puts both versions of the game at $59.99. While the MSRP for both is the same, Amazon has a $10 discount for the PS4 version.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Will Launch on PS4 and PS5 at $59.99
Both versions are available to pre-order, with the PS4 version set to release on November 17 and the PS5 version out with a placeholder date of December 31. One would hope that the game would become available with the release of the PS5.
This is especially so given that the PS4 version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive a free upgrade for PS5. Unless you care about owning the special PS5 box, you can get a nice discount by getting the PS4 version then upgrading to PS5 when the console releases.
One would assume players would go for the $10 discount over the new box art, but for those that are ready to make the new transition they will fork up the cash.
The Amazon listing also shows off how the game will look with the new PS5 box art design. PlayStation is swapping out the blue of the PS4 for white, which does look slick with the Valhalla box art itself.
As we shift to the next generation of consoles, the question of pricing for games has been on everyone’s mind. Some publishers have said they will charge an extra $10 for the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but with Ubisoft staying with the $60 price it only adds more fuel to the fire.
Amazon also listed the pricing for Watch Dogs Legion, which matches Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Watch Dogs Legion will also come with a $10 discount when purchasing the PS4 version.
