Among Us has built itself into a global sensation in the last few months. It’s rise to internet meme-dom has attracted more and more players. It allows you to play with friends or total strangers as you work with each other to find the murderous imposter. But over time, the default settings can turn into a bore, and you might find yourself wanting to switch things up. This is where you customize your settings to make the game how you want it. Maybe you want your speed set to maximum sprint? Or maybe you want to make the imposter’s job ten times harder? Don’t know how to do this? Don’t worry. In this guide, we’ll explain it all.
How to Customize Your Settings in Among Us
To customize the settings of your Among Us match, you first have to host your own game, local or online. Once you have loaded into your lobby, go up to the customization laptop. Click on the laptop that will then appear on the lower right-hand corner of your screen. When you click on it, there will be a menu that pops up that will allow you to customize your color, hat, pet, skin, and the game. The game tab is the one you want. Click on this one, and you will be able to change any setting the game has.
Our Other Guides
This menu has a lot of options. If you are new to Among Us, we suggest that you keep the recommended settings on. Messing with the settings early into your experience can make the game a little weird to learn. Once you’ve got a handle on things though, feel free to mess them. From the menu, you can change the map, how many imposters there are, how many emergency meetings you can call, the imposter field of vision, the crewmate field of vision, and much more.
Feel free to experiment! These settings can be used to create very chaotic matches, but they can also be surprisingly fun. It’s just one of the many things about Among Us that makes me keep going back again and again. Let me know if this guide helped you out at all in the comments. I’d love to hear about the crazy games you’ve played with custom settings!
