Analogue has announced a final run for the updated Nt Mini Noir. The high-end Nintendo NES and Famicom device comes with an updated cartridge slot and gunmetal finish.
The Nt Mini is considered the gold standard when it comes to NES and Famicom games on modern displays. It outputs to 1080p through HDMI, as well as having RGM, Component, S-Video and Composite ports.
Nt Mini Noir Adds Updated Cartridge Slot and Gun Metal Finish
Other ports included in the device include analog audio, microphone input and an input for the Famicom expansion port. It also includes a USB slot and power for four different regions.
The Nt Mini Noir is the same internally as the Nt Mini, with some additional changes. The NES cartridge slot has been updated to better read games and comes with an improved UI.
Along with these changes, The device comes with new branding, packaging and includes 8BitDo’s N30 2.4g controller. The N30 controller allows for wireless play with minimal lag.
Not only does the Nt Mini allow for wireless NES play, but it comes with four original NES controller ports. The ports also allow for use of NES accessories, for example, the NES Zapper.
The biggest change between the Nt Mini to the Nt Mini Noir is the shell, which has been redesigned in an anodized with a gunmetal finish. The updated look also comes with gold plated I/Os and transparent controller ports.
All this does come at a very steep price, however. The Nt Mini Noir is available to pre-order at $499 each. One thing that is for certain is that this is a top tier for playing classic Nintendo games.
If you are interested in the updated Nt Mini, you may want to think fast. It will only be available in limited quantities.
