Andy Cohen reacted to backlash from netizens because he complimented Housewives who were on Ozempic. The Watch What Happens Live host has responded to some of the objections.
Andy Cohen Reacts To Critics For Praising Housewives On Ozempic
During the April 5th episode of his SiriusXM Radio Andy Show, Cohen read a direct message from a viewer. According to Us Weekly, the fan asked him to stop praising guests for looking thin and asking if they are on Ozempic. The fan was quick to point out that this is the third guest who has been applauded for losing weight and asked if they are on the drug.
However, the 58-year-old did not deny the indictments. He admitted it, saying, “This woman is right,” because he had Dolores Catania on the show a day before. In that episode, she revealed she has been taking Semaglutide (Ozempic) to aid her weight loss for the past few weeks. The RHONJ star added that there was no way she would go to the reunion looking fat, so she got on the list of Ozempic users.
The Most Talkative author quickly clarified that he was the person who surfaced the subject of Ozempic with Dolores. He recalled the incident when he told the reality star that she looked great, and she replied to him that she lost weight, adding that her go-to is Ozempic. The WWHL host revealed that he was just happy that she was being honest because not many will be.
Meanwhile, the producer did not congratulate the TV star although he told her that she looked thin. He also admitted that he is not precise on how to proceed when discussing weight loss and Ozempic usage with his guests. The Missouri native explained that he is trying to deliver, but it was a sensitive topic to discuss casually. He added that if Dolores shows up looking like she lost 15 pounds, it is only normal for him to find out how it happened.
Several RHONJ Stars Take Drugs For Weight Loss
Seemingly, Dolores is not the only Housewife taking drugs for weight loss. Recently, another housewife, Jennifer Fessler hinted that she has been on the drug. She admitted that she has lost a lot of weight by taking peptides (a medication that aids people to lose weight).
Cohen asked Fessler for clarification, saying, “Like Ozempic”? The 52-year-old replied that he said it and not her. She added that whatever works, here she is. Likewise, Margaret Joseph recently confessed to using a GLP-1 agonist injection just like Ozempic. “I take them as a shot once a week and that helps with weight and improves metabolism.” The fashion designer told Insider in March.
