In what seems like perfect Karen fashion and vibes, a Virginia woman called the cops on her neighbor for listening to music on her phone. After the responding cop agreed with the neighbor on a “proper volume level,” the woman and her family got mad. Shocking.
The camera footage showing the whole interaction between the woman and the police was posted by the neighbor on TikTok. User glendasueshe, via voiceover, narrated the whole interaction, saying that she was minding her own business, listening to some music, when her neighbor, the “angry Karen,” called the cops on her.
“When I went to pee, guess who showed up?” Glenda said. “Yes, that’s right. Karen called the law. Again.”
The responding Virginia officer cordially talked with Glenda and revealed her neighbor had complained about the noise. “They complain about everything,” the woman said, showing an already exhausted relationship with her neighbor.
Since the Karen was going to keep calling the cops on Glenda, she and the police officer agreed on a “proper volume level.”
“I turned it down two levels. You know, two little clicks on my phone,” Glenda added.
Angry Neighbors, Reactions
According to the TikToker, her neighbor got out of the house to hear the conversation between her and the officer. Unfortunately for her, the cop was already gone, and Glenda said that she got “mad as [expletive].”
Since the music-listening woman didn’t get in trouble, her neighbors got even angrier. According to Glenda, the Karen’s son insulted and threatened her. His girlfriend, however, convinced him to let it go.
Of course, many users commented on the video, blasting the Virginia neighbor for what they deem to be a disproportionate reaction to some music being played at a reasonable hour (it was only 7 p.m.).
“U need a playlist just for her,” one user commented. A second one said, “You go girl. I have some of those neighbors. Ain’t it fun?” A third one added, “Don’t you need some interesting lighting while listening to your music???“
By the looks of it, this won’t be the last time Glenda will have to deal with the angry Karen, triggered by some tunes playing at the neighbor’s house.
