Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event is sending players on a trip down memory lane, featuring the old-school King’s Canyon map from Season 0 and World’s Edge from Season 3. Players can enter the fray in these iconic Battle Royale maps for a limited time via the normal Trios and Duos queues on their hourly rotation. With a growing playerbase of over a hundred million, this throwback event is a great opportunity for newer players to experience the “Legacy” of Apex Legends. The Genesis Collection Event is live now and runs until July 13, 2021.
The Genesis Collection Event features Capital City at a time before the Harvester landed in World’s Edge, meaning you can now hop back on the moving train again to traverse the metropolis. Players can re-experience their favorite hot zones of the past, like Skull Town and Thunderdome. Not to mention, veteran players can replay the epic throwdowns they had at Bridges and Fuel Depot.
One of the most popular requests after Apex Legends had announced its Arenas mode was for a Skull Town Arena. Thanks to the Genesis Collection Event, this original Apex battle spot is open to players in one-hour increments for a limited time. As a location that offers a wide variety of tactics and plenty of mayhem, it will be interesting to see how players use the new playable Legends to dominate the battlefield.
Of course, what is an Apex Collection Event without new unlockables? Like other events, the Genesis Collection Event features a rewards track with new earnable cosmetics that players can acquire for free. Up to 1,600 points can be earned per day with daily new challenges to complete. Four unique badges will be given to players to fulfill the longer challenges that last throughout the event.
Along with this Apex Legends event comes a significant update that includes a host of quality of life changes, map and legend balance updates, improvements, and bug fixes. You can read a detailed description of them all here.
