The new event for Apex Legends launches today. After the Iron Crown mess, that’s lead to some Respawn developers insulting the fanbase; it’s now time to move on. The Apex Legends event is called Voidwalker, and it will be centered around Wraith’s mysterious past. Voidwalker will also introduce a new town takeover, a limited-time mode, new exclusive event challenges, and more.

Wraith Town Takeover
This is the second town takeover after Octane’s one made during the Iron Crown event. In the Wraith town takeover, it will be possible to explore the remains of the research site. Hidden lore details are present in the area. Plus, there will be a functional prototype portal. The portal can be used to get an early jump on the base or to escape and reinitiate skydive.
This new Apex Legends limited-time mode’s name is “Armed and Dangerous”. Weapons are limited to snipers and shotguns. While loot is way harder to find.
Exclusive Event Challenges
By completing the challenges, players can earn exclusive skins and Wraith-themed content. Though, all challenges and rewards will be limited to the two-week event.
Direct Purchase Shop
New cosmetics are available during Apex‘ s Voidwalker event. A new skin like the Voidwalker Wraith Legendary and some lower price point items. Outside of the legendary skin, those items cost $5. It is worth noting that those items are Event Limited. Also, they will rotate through the in-game store on the following schedule:
Respawn will add six new legendary items to the core loot pool that can be obtained by crafting them or through packs. As a limited event promotion, each of these items will receive a first look offer in the direct purchase store.
Double Top 5 and Wins XP Weekend
From 10:00 a.m. PT on September 6 to 10:00 a.m. PT on September 9, players will earn double XP for Top 5 finishes and wins. This bonus will affect both the Account Level and Battle Pass progression.
