Apex Legends has today launched its September 20 update, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. With the recent release of the Evolution Collection Event and the big patch that came alongside it, today’s update doesn’t have too much exciting content to show off. If you’ve found yourself running into issues with connection and teleporting though, then you’re in luck. Today’s update looks to be a great first step towards that among other things. Without further adieu, here’s everything that’s been changed with the September 20 update for Apex Legends.
Apex Legends September 20 Update Patch Notes
We've shipped a patch for @playapex that should meaningfully address teleporting, packet loss, and lag.
Also, we've discovered an issue with animated banner poses that can cause crashes. We advise unequipping these poses for now. A fix for this & more is scheduled for Wednesday.

As you can see, there isn’t much in terms of actual content. Instead, today’s update looks to make sure you stay in matches and are able to score some extra kills. There are the new crashes, unfortunately, but since these can be remedied, that can at least be partially forgiven. And with the update to come on Wednesday (expect our coverage of the update here), that’s sure to not last long. You won’t have to be lacking in style for too long, Legends.
In a subsequent tweet, the team went further into what this update and imminent updates mean for Apex Legends:
We’re still continuing to work through issues causing higher-than-normal crashes, and we have hope that our patch scheduled for Wednesday will help. But with today’s patch we’re making progress. From all of us on the dev team: We deeply appreciate your patience with us.”
All around, it’s great to see that the team is working through issues quickly and isn’t wasting time when it comes to ensuring the health of Apex Legends (as the September 20 update proves). In a few days, we’ll be sure to let you know what the Wednesday update does to further this goal.
Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. For more information regarding today’s update, check out the official Twitter account for Respawn.
