Khloe Kardashian has stirred the rumor mills once again with her unconditional show of support for Tristan Thompson since his mom’s death, leaving many wondering if the co-parents were indeed back together. Many believe this period of grief has left the Revenge Body star reconsidering giving her romance with Tristan another try.
Addressing these growing speculations, a source confirmed to HollywoodLife that these assertions could not be further from the truth. According to them, the reality star was well aware of the wild theories but maintained her stance on the subject. The source divulged:
“Khloe knows her friends and some family members think that she will reconcile with Tristan again and give it another try. But there is no truth to this.”
Khloe Kardashian Recognized Tristan Thompson As Family During His Grieving Times
While Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have no plans to get back together, they seem to have drawn closer recently. After the NBA star lost his mom, Andrea, on January 5, Khloe, who shares two children with him, stepped in to offer her kids’ dad a shoulder to lean on, just like a family would.
The rest of the Kardashians have also extended that arm of support to the 31-year-old. During Andrea’s funeral on January 15, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and their mom, Kris Jenner, along with Khloe, joined Tristan in Toronto to bid his last farewells to his mom.
Following the event, TMZ reported that Khloe Kardashian and her ex Tristan Thompson jetted off together, further raising speculations that they were considering rekindling their romance. The source has since cleared the air as to why the duo seemed inseparable throughout the grieving phase, saying:
“Khloe went to support Tristan at the funeral because she wanted to. Her family came along because they wanted to. It is that simple and Tristan would do the same for her.”
The insider further explained that the late Andrea was a beloved grandmother to Khloe’s two children and was very present in their lives. Hence having the Good American founder step up as a family is to be expected. However, no matter how close they become, the co-parents realize their romantic phase has already ended for good.
