Video game publisher Dear Villagers have recently confirmed that their black and white survival adventure game Ashwalkers: A Survival Journey will arrive on Switch in the first quarter of 2022. The company has also released a Switch announcement trailer of Ashwalkers on their official YouTube channel. It seems like lately, Switch has become the favorite game releasing spot for PC game developers after PC. The platform is already loaded with some highly popular PC titles like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and it continues to attract more.
Ashwalkers was first released for PC in April 2021, it was created by Nameless XIII studio and published by 24 Entertainment and Dear Villagers. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is mostly covered in ash, all the ground has turned into a wasteland and the whole atmosphere is filled with misery. During the game, you’ll spend their time exploring the deadly environment conditions, managing your inventory, and surviving through hunger and minimal resource availability. The game may look dull to players who are accustomed to playing action-packed vibrant RPGs but if you love to explore a dark hostile open-world then this survival adventure is worth a shot.
As far as the story is concerned, Ashwalkers follows a non-linear narrative, allowing players to make different choices and experience different outcomes. The game has a total of 34 different endings and reveals the harsh survival journeys of four different characters named Petra, Kali, Sinh, and Nadir. They are collectively referred to as “The Squad” and they are on a mission to stay alive, gather necessary resources such as food, medicine, survival equipment, and prevent others from losing their mind.
According to the announcement trailer, Ashwalkers: A Survival Journey will be made available on Switch in both physical and digital editions. Players could purchase the game from Meridiem Games and Switch eShop from Q1 2022.
