Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. The collection of games that all take place during the renaissance with fan-favorite protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze was first released in November 2016. The collection originally came out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft released a trailer for Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below.
Although the Nintendo Switch hasn’t received any of the newer Assassin’s Creed games, this is the third time that Ubisoft has released an Assassin’s Creed collection on the system. Ubisoft previously released Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation as part of a collection in May 2019. Then in December 2019, the company released Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection on Switch that contained Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
The addition of the Ezio collection on Switch means Nintendo gamers can now play all of the Assassin’s Creed games that were released between 2009 and 2014 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Unfortunately, Nintendo gamers still don’t have a way to play the original Assassin’s Creed without jumping off of Nintendo hardware. In fact, the original game is the only one that Ubisoft seems reluctant to remaster as it has never been remastered on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One either.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch includes Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, along with all of the single-player DLC for the games. The collection on Nintendo Switch will allow gamers to play Ezio’s story on the go for the first time. The games have also been enhanced with “HD Rumble, a touch screen interface, and an optimized HUD.” The collection also contains two short films about Ezio’s life called Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers.
This will release on February 17, 2022, on Nintendo Switch and the collection is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
