Hey, remember that big gaming event you couldn’t attend at that place you couldn’t get to? The one that had all that cool exclusive stuff like the Jack Frost plush you’ll now never get your hands on? Well, now you can! Atlus USA has opened the virtual doors of its new online store, appropriately named ATLUS Online Store, as of five minutes ago as I write this.
The store now accepts pre-orders for all the goodies that previously were only available at places like Anime Expo 2017 and the like. They’re pre-orders because the goods are still being manufactured and will ship within the next couple of months. Atlus also would like to stress that if an item falls out of stock, they will definitely make more because they want all their fans to be able to get what they want. Currently, the store is limited to he U.S., but Atlus plans to expand its reach as they figure out the logistics of the operation.
And now for something completely related. Did you know there’s a side-scrolling PC game starring Jack Frost and Jack-O-Lantern (aka Pyro Jack)? It’s called Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue, and it’s totally real and totally free. Just don’t wait until Christmas to nab it – the game’s only available until December 24, 2017. Just follow this link and click the download button and it’s yours.
Just two words of warning: Windows 10 users will have to allow the application to run twice before it accepts it, and the game, unfortunately, is in Japanese. At least until a fan-made translation hits the net. Don’t doubt that it will happen – Tokyo Mirage Sessions got hacked to remove the censorship very quickly, you know.
Something I’ve been thinking for a while – there’s Jack Frost for Christmas and Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween, there ought to be a Jack Rabbit for Easter and a Jack something for Thanksgiving. It’s not too late, Atlus, hee ho!
