One thing to note is the fact that you must be connected with wired USB to get 5.1 and higher surround sound.
The head-tracking technology will track a subtle change in the movement of your head bringing a listening experience that emulates reality. This will come in very handy when trying to find your opponent in a game.
Another great sound feature is the Audeze Planar Magnet drivers. These will bring an amazing sound quality that is out of this world!
If you need to make sure to drown out all the noise around you, no worries there! You can almost close your eyes and forget where you are with the isolated sound.
The design of this headphone set is made of matte black plastic with your choice of silver, blue or brown (metallic) accent colors. To look at it, you would not necessarily think of it as a “gaming headset” but don’t let looks deceive you.
You can feel the quality and it shows in the appearance, as well.
Audeze HQ App
The Mobius headphone can be customized with the Audeze HQ application allowing you to personalize HRTF parameters and sound profile selection. T
his app offers Head Gesture Keybindings with six customizable, hands-free macro buttons and allows you to use sliders to change room ambiance settings, head circumference, inter-aural arc, and more.
If you are heavily into “tweaking” the sound, you will like all the changes you can make in this app.
These headphones are compatible with gaming consoles, mobile devices, PC, and Mac.
Memory foam leatherette earpads make the headphones really comfortable. The earpads are replaceable too which is always nice.
Some headphones are a little heavy and not real comfortable but these are not too terribly large which means they will fit better and cause fewer headaches if you wear them often.
There are two dials on the left headphone that control the volume for the headphone and microphone. You can also control whether you are in 7.1 surround sound, stereo, Bluetooth, or one of the other profiles available. The headphone supports 7.1 and 5.1 surround.
The switch on the side of the headphone mutes the mic and there is an additional button that controls the 3D audio settings.
How do you know which setting in? The “Gyspy Muse” will tell you in a voice through the headset.
The battery life is around 9 to 10 hours.
To get all the features included with this headset comes at somewhat of a cost. It currently can be purchase for $399.00.
If you want bells and whistles and don’t mind paying the price, this headset is definitely a top choice! It has almost any feature you could think of. It’s comfortable and made with quality. And the sound is fairly amazing! What else could you ask for?
