The Left 4 Dead fanbase was incredibly hyped for the game’s little brother, Back 4 Blood. The game comes from the same studio as Left 4 Dead. Turtle Rock Studios developed the game and kept improving after its release. Back 4 Blood wasn’t a sequel to the loved Valve release Left 4 Dead, but the roots were the same. The players tasted similar fun after years, with a few differences. Back 4 Blood did everything with today’s technology, with realistic sound effects, shiny graphics, and other content updates. But now, the studio is saying goodbye to its 2021 release. The developer studio announced their plans for their co-op zombie shooter title. Here’s Back 4 Blood‘s destiny.
Back 4 Blood Won’t Get Updates Anymore
If you’re wondering what will happen to the bugs you might’ve noticed, don’t worry. The studio is only stopping working on new content, which means Back 4 Blood will still get bug fixes or security changes. And the reason why they abandon the game is pretty exciting; they’re making a new game. The studio shared a blog post and announced the details; here’s a part of it:
“Turtle Rock Studios is actually pretty small for a studio making AAA games. We don’t have quite enough folks to continue working on Back 4 Blood content while we spin up another game—yes, another game! Given this, it’s time for us to put our heads down, get back in the lab, and get to work on the next big thing.”
We didn’t know there was an in-development Turtle-Rock game. That blog post is also the first announcement for their upcoming game; we will probably start hearing the details soon. It could be another game of the same type, but considering Back 4 Blood’s Steam reviews, the fans might not like it. Turtle Rock isn’t one of the biggest on the market, but we’re excited about their work.
