When it comes to Early Access games, all players feel it is like a coin toss. You get to play the game while it’s in development with a few bugs and an unfinished story, in turn, you get it cheaper. On the other hand, you might have to pay for some extra content when a game officially launches. Well, it would seem that Larian Studios is looking for a workaround for PC players. A recent post says that those who own Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC as part of the Early Access period, will be able to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for free.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition Upgrade will be free for Early Access players
If you bought the game during Early Access, you’ll get the Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 for free. This is fantastic as you won’t have to pay more and it is a way to reward players for helping during the game’s development. While there are many CPRGs out there, we can’t deny that Larian Studios has made some of the best titles in recent times. Games like the Divinity series brought fantastic things to the genre and that is why Baldur’s Gate 3 has a lot of hype behind it.
If you already own Baldur's Gate 3 on PC, or purchase it in Early Access before launch, you get a free upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition on launch day 🙏

The official launch for the game isn’t far away, and you’re still able to play it on Early Access if you have a PC powerful enough to run it. If you buy it, you’ll be able to get the Deluxe Edtion Upgrade of Baldur’s Gate 3 for free which includes a lot of goodies. We already saw that the developers are giving a lot of things in that edition and the Collector’s one. This is something that companies such as Blizzard should learn from. Diablo 4’s Collector’s Edition comes with a lot of things but the game is missing. A weird design choice for sure. But, Larian Studios is breaking the mold by offering players free content so if you don’t have the game yet, you should consider getting it before the official launch.
