The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco will play the lead in the Peacock comedy thriller series Based on a True Story. As the title implies, the story is indeed based on an actual event. A realtor, a plumber, and a former tennis star’s lives overlap with some murder. Kaley Cuoco will play the married woman Ava Bartlett in Based on a True Story. There isn’t yet a trailer or official plotline. This Peacock comedy thriller series is one of several projects approved for the streaming service. Other projects include Dr. Death and Joe vs. Carole. Craig Rosenberg created the series, wrote it, and is executive producing it. He’ll also be the showrunner. Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Roxie Rodriguez under Aggregate Films are executive producing it. Rosenberg is also an executive producer for the Amazon Prime series The Boys.
Kaley Cuoco is No Stranger to Comedy Thriller Series
Kaley Cuoco had television credits in 8 Simple Rules and Charmed. It wasn’t until her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory that audiences took notice of the actor. She now stars in the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant. She has earned nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. HBO Max released Season 2 of The Flight Attendant earlier this year. If there is a Season 3 of the series, Kaley Cuoco will return and will still be able to complete Based on a True Story. It’s no surprise that Cuoco does well in comedy thriller series, just like this upcoming Peacock series. On top of Based on a True Story, Cuoco is working on the action-thriller film Role Play. Her work schedule is packed. Critics will look forward to Kaley Cuoco’s role in Based on a True Story.
The production hasn’t released a trailer for the Peacock comedy thriller series.
