Batman Arkham Knight is getting DLC soon, and it is going to focus on fan favorite Batgirl. Warner Bros is releasing Batgirl: A Matter of Family, which will take place prior to the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Warner Bros has only announced plans for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One editions of the expansion, and has not discussed a PC version. The synopsis reads:

Set prior to the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will allow players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in theBatman: Arkham franchise. This exciting story add-on features an all-new location with multiple missions, side quests and secrets; a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles; and Dual Play functionality with Robin for dynamic take-down maneuvers.

What will the Batgirl DLC look like?

A Matter of Family is being developed by WB Games Montreal and not Rocksteady Studios, which is currently trying to get the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight working. WB Games Montreal is the same studio that worked on Batman: Arkham Origins.

A Matter of Family is being released on July 14th for those with a season pass, and July 21st for everyone else.  It will cost $6.99 in North America and £5.80 in the UK. Those who purchased an Arkham Knight season pass will not have to pay an additional fee. There are no details on the length of the Batgirl DLC, though more details should be coming soon.
