Below Deck fans are disappointed about the alleged cancelation of the season 10 reunion. Besides each Below Deck season, one other program that fans look forward to is the reunions that happen at the end of every season. The reunions bring together the season’s cast for a round table talk with presenter Andy Cohen.
Fans love the reunions because they are pretty entertaining as they allow the cast to air any ill feelings toward each other or bring to light any disagreements they may have had during the season. Most times, these often result in sparked heated confrontations. Meanwhile, a dramatic season often results in an entertaining reunion, and Below Deck season 10 has featured so much drama. Fans have witnessed two sackings and a social media bust-up between Captain Lee Rosbach and Captain Sandy Yawn — so fans eagerly anticipated the reunion.
However, their enthusiasm drowned after sacked stewardess Alissa Humber revealed that the season 10 reunion had been canceled via her Instagram stories. Alissa leaked an email supposedly from Bravo that indicated the cancelation of the reunion due to scheduling conflicts. She shared the post alongside the caption “Interesting,” hinting she may think there is another reason behind the cancellation. Although no other cast members have said anything about the cancelation, fans raged on Reddit about the disappointing news.
Below Deck Fans Were Highly Anticipating the Season 10 Reunion
Alissa’s announcement of the reunion’s cancellation came as a big blow to the Below Deck fanbase. Many of the show’s fans were looking forward to watching the drama that would play out when the cast members came face-to-face for the reunion episodes. Although Alissa was at the center of almost all the drama, she had previously said she wouldn’t attend the reunion. Alissa started the season’s drama with her constant feuding with Camille — with the two involved in a spat in front of charter guests. Camille eventually got fired by Captain Sandy Yawn for slacking on her job. The firing led Captain Lee and Sandy to a social media war of words.
Meanwhile, Alissa also got caught in a love triangle with Ross and Katie. She eventually got fired by Captain Sandy for disrespectful behavior. The season also saw fans turn on Sandy due to her poor treatment of chief stew Fraser Olender and Chef Rachel’s departure from the franchise. Many fans anticipated seeing all these characters have a go at each other one more time. Sadly, that will not be the case, and fans have been airing their displeasure on Reddit.
One user wrote:
“I wanted a second round between Sandy, Camille, and Alissa, but oh well. Rachel will be missed, one of my favorite chefs.”
Below Deck Fans Feel The Producers Disappointed Them
For many of the show’s fans, the reunions are the best part of the series because they allow casts to tackle unresolved issues and get closure. As the conversation on Reddit progressed, it didn’t take long before fans finally turned their anger toward the show’s producers. Many viewers queried the reason the network gave for the reunion’s cancellation and felt it lacked any substance. One of the Redditors said:
“It was pretty weird they said schedule conflicts when they’ve been doing these on zoom for a few years now. I know Rachel prob told them to eat a bag of dicks, but couldn’t the rest show up on a zoom for an hour?”
Another user agreed:
“Totally agree the schedule conflict thing is BS. I kinda think the Bravoverse doesn’t wanna face the whole not asking captain Lee thing back head-on.”
While commenting, one of the fans highlighted the importance of the reunion to many viewers. The user claimed:
“Reunions are the only reason I watch, I swear”
Meanwhile, some fans took a jibe at Bravo for their poor treatment of chef Rachel Hargrove — who would not be returning for season 11 after a fallout with producers. Another OG who would not be returning for season 11, according to reports, is Captain Lee. Captain Sandy replaced him earlier in the season due to health concerns. Still, most fans see the cancellation of the reunion as the most upsetting development.
