Batfleck fans have something that will make them happy to know. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Affleck promised that he “nailed it” when it comes to his Batman performance in The Flash. He also looked back on his time across all the films.
As far as anyone knows, Ben Affleck is finished being Batman after The Flash. The trailers only give a hint of him, with most of it focused on Barry (Ezra Miller) and the other Dark Knight (Michael Keaton). The Argo star and director confirmed that he is in very little, like “five minutes.” Whether that is an exaggeration or not has yet to be seen, but he does prop up what he was able to do with the material.
“Yeah, I did finally figure out how to play that character, and I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it’s just tone. You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do?”
Ben Affleck promises his best Batman performance in The Flash
As James Gunn announced a good chunk of his DC plans, we will get a new Bat while keeping the universe started last year by Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader. It is still a mystery as to who will maintain their roles, but Ben Affleck has made it clear that he is out as Batman after The Flash. Having some answers gives a clear view of the future with projects announced and actors not coming back, but still, it is foggy in the land of DC as to where it will go under the Guardians of the Galaxy director’s leadership.
Ben Affleck seems to look at The Flash as one of his favorite DC films that he has starred in. He did note to THR that Batman v Superman was another one of his favorites. When it came to those that were a poor experience, Justice League was his least favorite due to the troubling shoot when Zach Snyder left due to the death of his daughter.
