Bethesda has always been at the forefront of pushing boundaries. When it comes to Fallout 76, the ambition certainly caught up to them in the end. Yet, while the game suffered from ridicule and poor programming for so long, the title has received numerous updates. While not always in the best of condition, these updates ranged from fixes to new additions. Yet while these additions have added quantity to the game, many have wondered if a battle royal mode was necessary. Despite this, new events and seasons have kept the game going since its release in 2016. Yet, while all that content may be in pre-planning or conception stages, what’s current is the bethesda.net launcher shutting down in just a few weeks. While Bethesda has been great at giving updates on the status of the merger with Steam, it seems some games are receiving preferential treatment. Bethesda.net players are getting Fallout 76 rewards for migrating to Steam later this month.

When Is Bethesda.net Giving Out The Fallout 76 Rewards?
While ten season 9 ranks don’t sound like a great reward, it is something for Bethesda.net users. Bethesda even confirmed their intent to keep Fallout 76 content fresh for another 5 years. It’s unknown how many players use the bethesda.net launcher to play Fallout 76, but console communities have been dwindling. Steam has been able to keep less than ten thousand active players with a couple of free weekends where the player count increased massively for a limited time. On the FAQ page, there are a few more details about the closure commencing April 27th. Thankfully most achievements will transfer, but Bethesda is warning that some may need to be triggered again with a replay of the quest. While the season 9 ranks will not be available for use until June, it is a nice head start for Fallout 76 players still grinding away in the wasteland.
