The world of videogame collectibles has gone crazy. The amount of stuff you can buy along with the amount of money that can be spent doing so is staggering. Adding its name to the weird videogame stuff you can buy is Doom.
To celebrate the launch of the newest game in the Doom series, Doom Eternal, Rebel Distillers have announced a limited edition bottle of Vodka. I do like Doom and I do like Vodka, however, I’d never have thought of combining the two and I certainly wouldn’t have thought about adding bones into the mix.
You heard me right. Bones. The Rebel Distillers website informs me that only the finest ingredients are used to make the Doom vodka, it just so happens that one of those ingredients is beef bones. The official site has this to say regarding this nightmare drink:
“Doom is a world of flames and demos, a barbeue pit of action. This world first Vodka, using bones sourced from world famous butchers “The Ginger Pig” –
If Hell created Vodka….
How do you drink? However you damn well like, but to luge it ice cold through a bone always impresses.”
The bones are roasted and smoked before the marrow is extracted and macerated in neutral grain alcohol, sounds delicious. Personally, I’m not sure what to make of this. I’m not even a fan of gold flakes in my Vodka, let alone bone marrow. The bottle looks nice though.
Should you be interested in tasting this “delicacy” the bottle retails at £45 but currently only ships to the UK, Europe, and Australia. If you try some please let us know what it’s like and please drink responsibly.
Doom Eternal launches on November 22, 2019, and that is something I definitely want to try. Also, let us know the weirdest videogame collectible you either own or have seen.
