Beyoncé Makes History With The Most Grammy Wins
Beyoncé, 41, has become the most-awarded artist in Grammy history at the 2023 Grammy Awards. This historical event occurred during an evening in Los Angeles. The Halo singer now has a total of 32 Grammy Awards, making her the first person ever to have the most Grammy wins.
After the singer won the award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Beyoncé now holds the all-time record for most Grammy wins. George Solti was previously holding that record before Queen Bey broke it. During the 2023 Grammy Awards evening, Beyoncé also won the awards for best R&B song and best traditional R&B performance.
As The Guardian reports, the record-breaking moment came before Beyoncé arrived at the event. Beyonce was late to the Grammy Awards show as she was stuck in traffic. Nile Rodgers accepted the Grammy Award for Best R&B song on her behalf. The legend Rodgers gave a speech on the song CUFF IT and offered his thanks. The Crazy in Love singer also had a lot of Grammy nominations.
When the songwriter arrived at the ceremony, she was right on time to collect the Grammy Award for Dance/Electronic Album. The dancer was welcomed to the stage with a standing ovation as the crowd cheered for her.
On the stage, the award-winning singer was trying not to be too emotional. The singer thanked God. Beyoncé also paid tribute to her “beautiful husband” and the “queer community for their love and for inventing the genre.” The Partition singer also thanked her uncle Jonny for inspiring RENAISSANCE.
