WarpFrog has released a status report related to the Blade & Sorcery: U12 release delay today. Baron from the team of developers has said that the delay is attributed to a series of drowning bugs. According to Baron, these bugs are unfortunately the type that renders the game unplayable. Therefore, the team is still working hard to deal with these emerging bugs.
Status Report: Blade & Sorcery U12 Drowning Bugs Case
the progress of the U12 development has been delayed due to a series of bug issues that will vastly affect the Blade & Sorcery gameplay. Baron explains that the existing bugs will greatly strain players’ experience in the game and will, therefore, not release the update and later create a patch for these bugs.
According to the publication by Baron, the most crippling bugs are affecting the Dungeon area, performance issues, Dungeon room, and door portals.
Major U12 Bug Issues
Dungeon technology Bugs
After the complete Dungeon technology remake, the team discovers lots of broken items that need fixing during the testing stage. The remake would improve dungeon generation and offer a chance for future expansions. At the same time, the remake would allow the elimination of 3rd part copyright issues, preventing modders’ access to mod Dungeons. However, after the initial build, Dungeon Technology has multiple issues that the team is working on.

Unity: Host Server Issues
Baron has noted they are having issues with the game‘s host server, Unity. After an upcoming Unity update, the team foresees an emerging rise of issues on Blade & Sorcery: U12. Baron shares that this update can lead to a series of challenges that would be difficult for the team to sort. For this reason, the team would want to delay the release until they are certain of Unity’s changes.
Dungeon Rooms
The team has added various rooms as a bonus for the update. Currently, the rooms have good graphics and should inject a bunch of fresh new life into Outpost while everyone is waiting on Crystal Hunt.
However, these rooms have brought new bugs and other environmental issues. For instance, one day, the team noticed a square chunk of the ocean was missing in one outdoor room. They have also realized a set of items abruptly missing from the rooms.
However, while the team has not released the definite Blade & Sorcery: U12, they are optimistic that the wait will be worthwhile. Meanwhile, players can enjoy Blade & Sorcery on PCs everywhere via Steam.
