For those of you craving more from the gory nightmare that is Bloodborne, you are very much in luck. The story is set to continue in a comic book series from Titan Comics called Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep.
This new comic book series will focus on an unnamed hunter as he battles dark and horrifying creature in the city of Yharnam. It is still unclear as to whether the series will take place before, after, or during the events of the game or if it will focus on different characters in a different time and place altogether. Needless to say, while there are still plenty of questions, there is a lot to get excited about.
This isn’t the first time that Titan Comics had dabbled in video game to comic book adaptations. With other adaptations like Evil Within, Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed, and Wolfenstein under their belt, the Bloodborne comic series is safe in the hands of Titan Comics. Ales Kot (Zero, Wolf), an avid fan of the PlayStation exclusive, is the writer behind the new series. Kot will be working alongside artist Piotr Kowalski, who worked on the Wolfenstein and Dark Souls comics for Titan. His work can be seen on the first issue’s cover shown below!
Kot, who has sunk over 200 hours into Bloodborne, is ecstatic about the current project. He says that fans can expect:
Mystery, the weird, the eerie, the horrific and the bloody – and there will be an undercurrent of decaying romanticism, walking hand in hand with brain-mashing, soul-cleaving action, together ascending towards the Blood Moon as drawn by the talented and depraved Piotr Kowalski. Ascend with us, Hunters old and new. And do remember: one has to seek Paleblood to transcend the hunt.
Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep’s first issue is set to release, physically and digitally, in February 2018.
