Many developers have recently launched many anime-like games, with HoYoverse helming some of the most successful ones. Even if that company is leading the market in many ways, that hasn’t stopped developers from trying their luck at them. Bandai Namco is in charge of Blue Protocol, an upcoming MMORPG with the anime style many people love. While many expected the game to hit digital stores next month, that isn’t the case anymore. Through an official announcement, the developers have announced Blue Protocol is getting delayed until 2024 in the West. While the game is still launching on this side of the pond, it’ll take some time to get here.
Blue Protocol Gets Delayed Until 2024, With It Releasing in Japan on June 14
We’re excited to celebrate Bandai Namco Online & Bandai Namco Studios’ announcement for Blue Protocol's Japan release on June 14!
Our release is moving to 2024 as we work toward launching in the West across PC, Xbox X|S, and PlayStation 5.

While the news about Blue Protocol getting delayed until 2024 hit hard, those who live in Japan will be able to enjoy it. The original game’s release date is still up for those in that country who can try this title without any issues. If you were hoping to play something other than Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail, you might have to wait. Yet, it isn’t all bad news; the game is still coming, and that’s something to look forward to.
Blue Protocol getting delayed until 2024 doesn’t sit well with many, but the developers might have their reasons. According to the post, the studio works to get the game on several platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We can’t complain if we get a good, finished product, but playing it would’ve been nice.
We bet the game will be a smooth ride once the game reaches this side. Since we’ll have to wait a year, the developers might iron out some things as they see them during the game’s initial launch, which will be great for us. All we can do is wait and hopefully get a release date for Blue Protocol during the first months of 2024.
