BOOM! Studios announced that Eleonora Carlini (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will return as a guest artist to illustrate the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 100th issue. To celebrate the title’s milestone issue, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #100 will be an oversized issue with multiple guest artists. Eleonora Carlini is among several all-star artists returning for the epic culmination of a Power Rangers story. Carlini has an impressive résumé with BOOM! Studios, specifically with the Power Rangers. She worked on Go Go Power Rangers #13-20 with writer Ryan Parrott and Go Go Power Rangers: Forever Rangers. She was also the recent cover artist for the Mighty Morphin series.
What Is Charge To 100 In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers?
The Charge to 100 is an MMPR crossover event leading up to the 100th issue. A story with the groundwork set in Go Go Power Rangers converges with the main title and culminates in the milestone, oversized issue. The Power Rangers and Omega Rangers team up to take on a force that threatens the existence of every living creature. The story unfolds in various MMPR titles like Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers, along with multiple one-shots. The Charge to 100 started on April 13th, 2022, and continues until the 100th issue is released in September.
Ryan Parrott, writer for the series, had this to say:
Honestly, if you would have told me six years ago that I’d have the amazing fortune of not only working with so many incredibly talented people on so many wonderful Ranger titles, but I would also accumulate over 100 issues of content, I would have questioned your sanity. But somehow… here we are. From Ranger Slayer to the Turtle Rangers, it’s been a transformative experience, both personally and professionally. Not many people get a chance to play with their favorite toys for a living, so to all the Ranger fans who have been so encouraging and supportive over the years, you’ll never know how much your kind words meant when I was struggling to hit a deadline or find the right line of dialogue. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone… and I sincerely hope that I was able to add just a few cool bricks to the already amazing wall of the Power Rangers franchise.
Hey everyone! The charge to MMPR 100 continues TODAY with… POWER RANGERS #20! This was a personal story for me, focusing on sadness, grief and the paths we take to deal with them. It's slightly more somber than normal, but I hope you'll come along with me. Enjoy!!! pic.twitter.com/RR28BHOb5c
