The team at GearBox recently announced that Borderlands 3 is getting new content this summer. Available in June, the third installment of DLC will include a Western-themed story expansion called Bounty of Blood: Fists of Redemption and an endgame gauntlet.
This new gauntlet, Takedown at the Guardian Breach, is meant for players who have finished the game to test their weapons and layouts. “Tannis wants to send you on a reconnaissance trip to the planet of Minos Prime so you can track down the source of a mysterious Guardian signal. Upon arrival, you’ll be besieged by a sect of rogue Guardians who have split off from their brethren and have irrevocably transformed Minos Prime.” Along with new enemies and a mini-boss, players will have to complete “tricky puzzles and low-gravity platforming sections.”
Along with the gauntlet, Borderlands 3 fans can take on the Wild, Wild West in the new story expansion. Bounty of Blood: Fists of Redemption has new characters and a new setting to chaotically explore:
You’ll travel to the harsh desert planet of Gehenna to claim a bounty on The Devil Riders, a vicious gang of bandits mounted atop fearsome beasts. The Devil Riders have been terrorizing the small town of Vestige, and you’ll have to team up with the locals if you want any hope of administering some frontier justice.
The third Borderlands 3 DLC will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 25, 2020. The first two story expansions, Moxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot and Guns, Love and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, are available now for your gaming pleasure.
