A few days ago, Borderlands 3 developed Gearbox showcased new skill trees and action skills for Amara and FL4K. Amara’s new skill was destructive, while FL4K’s new skill tree is incredibly destructive. Both of them look great, but I’ve been waiting to see what Moze and Zane are bringing to the table. Moze is my main girl after all, so something new is always welcome. Today, we got just that. The Designer’s Cut of Borderlands 3 is bringing a new tree for each of them, and I’m admittedly already in love.
Moze’s new action skill looks to bring something adorably chaotic into the mix for Borderlands 3. With the Bear Mother skill tree, Moze switches out her massive Iron Bear for a smaller but powerful Iron Cub. This mech acts independently, drawing fire and dishing out damage at an alarming rate. Think Axton’s turret from Borderlands 2, but autonomous and 10x cuter. While Iron Bear and Iron Cub are exclusive action skills, Iron Cub shares many of the bonuses that Iron Bear gets. That means if you want a small, double nuke wielding death machine to fight for you, you can have just that. The skill tree gives a bonus of rewarding you for setting enemies on fire, so light your enemies ablaze fellow Moze players.
For Zane players out there, his new action skill in Borderlands 3 should shake things up a bit. His drone and clone builds have dominated much of his play with the barrier being cast aside, but the new MNTIS Shoulder Cannon should shake things up. This cannon is armed with powerful rounds, looking to snipe your opponents with insane precision. Further down the skill tree, you’ll find a particularly interesting augment. A grappling hook will be attached to the Shoulder Cannon, which can pull enemies in for maximum damage up close. Given Zane’s usual preference to stick at a distance, this should give those who want to get into the action more options.
This is a pretty solid set of action skills for both characters. I’m particularly excited to have a dual nuke wielding Iron Cub fighting alongside me. Who doesn’t love explosions in Borderlands 3? I’d like to hear your thoughts though. Will you be making use of these new action skills? What are your thoughts on the previous two? Let me know in the comments below!
