Developer Pixward Games is ready to open the floor for battle with their new VR and PC action game for Steam, BOSS FIGHTERS! This fresh take on asymmetrical gameplay essentially pits one VR “Boss” against a group of “Fighters”. It’s as crazy as it sounds; Pixward published a video with Lipnox VR to showcase what’s to come. The content creator leads the way by displaying key features, with the video below for you to check out. Keep reading on to find out more about this new virtual reality title.
Shoot-Smash-Win in VR and PC with BOSS FIGHTERS
BOSS FIGHTERS takes on the unique asymmetrical multiplayer genre by allowing two sides of players to approach the game differently. In a nutshell, it’s one towering and powerful player in VR up against a group of players on PC. Imagine if Evolve (released Jan. 2014 by 2K Games, developed by Turtle Rock Studios) was brought onto a new gaming realm, with virtual reality playing a role. Additionally, the excitement reaches a new notch as community/streaming capabilities will also be live for more interactions.
The rules here are simple, as you would assume from the above-mentioned BOSS FIGHTERS description. One Boss in VR vs. a group of Fighters in PC. Only the Boss can be played in VR while players who assume the roles of the Fighters will rely on their mice & keyboards. All players are treated to an explosive playground, with available pickups for the Fighters to utilize against the VR-controlled Boss. Search for special loot, work together with your friends, and connect with viewers as they watch the mayhem unfold. Viewers can even issue chat commands that might shift the tides of battle.
As of now, there is no current release date. Therefore, we recommend that players wishlist the game from its Steam page for further updates. Additionally, Pixward Games attached their YouTube, Twitter, and Discord links on the page if you wish to connect more with the developers and other like-minded fans.
Who do you plan on becoming in BOSS FIGHTERS when it comes to Steam? Keep in mind that for VR users, you’ll need to utilize an HTC Vive, Valve Index, or Oculus Quest 2 + Oculus Link Cable headset to play as the Boss. Otherwise, you’ll be amongst the PC Fighters on the ground. Let us know what you think!
