Curve Digital has released the newest trailer for their upcoming game I Am Fish. The Human Fall Flat publisher, in conjunction with the developers of Surgeon Simulator, Bossa Studios, are creating a Finding Nemo-esque action-adventure title where you navigate the world as four different fish that have escaped from their tanks.
The new trailer showcases a huge overhaul of what we’ve seen of I Am Fish before, with a much more robust visual style and a very detailed world (and of course, more fish). The titular goldfish no longer looks like a weird bath toy that has somehow gained sentience. According to Bossa Studios, the I Am Bread successor will even feature four different playable characters – a goldfish, pufferfish, piranha, and flying fish, each with their own unique abilities. Gamers will navigate puzzles in the coastal hideaway of Barnardshire, England (the smallest county of England). The game begins with the four fish being separated from one another and you’re tasked with helping each fish find its way back to the ocean.
It’s interesting to see Bossa Studios describe I Am Fish as the sequel to I Am Bread as the two titles seem very different (names aside). The game certainly looks like a ton of family-friendly fun and it’s understandable why Curve Digital would want to get behind it following their immense success with the hit Human Fall Flat. Games revolving around physics puzzles certainly aren’t going anywhere fast and it will be a ton of fun to check I Am Fish upon its release.
Bossa Studios has said that the game will be released in Q3 2021. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). A public demo has been announced for release June 16. The studio has also announced that those looking for more gameplay footage can check out the following streamers on Twitch at these times:
