There’s no doubt you’ve played a rhythm game at one point or another. Whether it’s the classic days of games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero or more modern arcade cabinets. If you’re on PC, chances are that game for you is Osu. That game offers hours upon hours of rhythm game action, and maybe a few added things in the background (we both know what you look at). Developer Awe Interactive is ready to make an interesting twist on that idea. BPM: Bullets Per Minute, a first-person shooter where you shoot to the beat, is now available on PC through Steam! You can find the launch trailer for the title below.
BPM: Bullets Per Minute has you playing as a mighty valkyrie, armed with her skills and an array of weapons. The underworld dares try to invade Asgard, leaving you as its sole protector. With your armaments in hand, you must take the war to them. There’s a catch though, as your bullets only work when firing to the beat of the game’s soundtrack. Fire your weapons, dodge enemy attacks, and fight your way to freedom while rocking out to music that reminds you of modern DOOM. Who doesn’t love some intense rock to shoot demons to?
With the launch of BPM: Bullets Per Minute, there’s a 10% discount until September 22. Not a bad price for slaying demons huh? It looks very exciting from what the launch trailer shows, with some intensely hectic battles and great music to boot. Don’t just take it from me though, as Awe Interactive founder David Jones is excited as well:
BPM: Bullets Per Minute is what happens when the best elements of a roguelike, the intensity of a rhythm-action game, and the unadulterated and unashamed fun of a retro-shooter like Doom all crash into each other in one game. It’s hard, it’s fierce, and it takes some getting used to, but once you find the beat it’s very difficult to stop.”
