In an interview with GQ, Brad Pitt hinted at retirement. Now, as he walked the red carpet to promote his new wild action movie Bullet Train, he was asked by Deadline about the idea of him being done with working. He was startled by the question and admitted that he needed to “work” on his “phrasing.” He clarified that it is more about how he spends his time.
“I was just saying, ‘I’m past middle age and I want to be specific about how I spend those last things however they may be,'” he said. “I’ve never been a five year plan kind of guy.”
The talk about Brad Pitt going toward retirement came from a statement in GQ’s August cover story. The actor described where he is at in his career as his “last semester” and that he is on his “last leg.” However, with a list of projects lined up for him, it is unclear how long this “semester” will last for the two-time Academy Award winner.
