Actor and breakout comedic star Brandon Scott Jones has been cast in the Nicolas Cage/Nicholas Hoult Dracula movie, Renfield. Even though production for Renfield wrapped up around a month ago, the news of Brandon Scott Jones joining the Renfield cast was never reported on, Variety reports. He joins the major stars in the movie Nicolas Cage of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, who takes on the infamous Dracula, and X-Men’s Nicholas Hoult will star as the titular role in Renfield. Other stars you’ll catch in Renfield are Shang Chi’s Awkwafina(playing Renfield’s love interest), Sonic The Hedgehog’s Ben Schwartz, and Adrian Martinez.
Renfield focuses on the comedic tale of one of Dracula’s top henchmen rather than focusing on the famous vampire himself. According to IMDB, “The film follows Renfield as he finds love and a new lease on life after growing tired of being Dracula’s lackey.”  The upcoming vampire movie directed by The Lego Batman Movie filmmaker Chris McKay takes on a horror-comedy tone. McKay directed this film based on a script (by Rick and Morty writer Ryan Ridley) from an idea that spawned from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.
