Bridgerton Season 2 premiered on March 25 and has already over 193 million hours viewed in its first weekend. Many fans mourned Regé-Jean Page not returning as the Duke of Hastings. The newest season of Bridgerton had Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran as Kate and Edwina Sharma. Despite no Duke of Hastings, fans of the series still viewed Season 2 of Bridgerton. It was Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) turn to find love. The Netflix period drama series played up the sexual tension between Anthony and Kate and their sense of duty to their families. If there were concerns that the Netflix period drama series would falter with no Duke of Hastings can see that it still has a strong fanbase. The series is based on the eight novels by Julia Quinn detailing the romances of the Bridgerton siblings. Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran have been great additions to Bridgerton.
Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran Add Lots of Love and Drama to Season 2
Fans returned and viewed Season 2 of Bridgerton. This season may not have had as many sex scenes, but it had plenty of drama. Netflix did not make a carbon copy of the book The Viscount Who Loved Me, but it put an alluring spin on the period drama series. In the book, Kate and Anthony marry much sooner and don’t meet in the way they do in the series. Kate (Simone Ashley) did well to play the headstrong older sister of Edwina (Charithra Chandran). Edwina goes from a naive girl to a refined woman by the end of Season 2 of Bridgerton, which many fans viewed. This season there was a lot more characterization for Eloise, Penelope, and Anthony. The Netflix period drama series has been sculpting its characters and keeping viewers at the edge of their seats. The hours viewed for Season 2 will undoubtedly increase.
